Amit is a Partner in Advanced Biopharma Consulting, a management consultancy offering strategic business development and commercialization services in the life sciences space. He also serves as a board member at Navaux and an advisor to Fanisko, Triocula and UnityDx. Prior to Promaxo, Amit was the CEO/President of Convergent Life Sciences wherein he took a MRI-US fusion product, for targeted laser ablation of soft tissue cancer, through FDA clearance within 18 months of Company formation. Previously, as VP of Strategy and Operations at Eigen, he led the development and successful commercialization of two class II medical devices in the prostate biopsy space. In 2009, Amit co-founded Navya Biomedical Technologies, a biotechnology company using proprietary polyhydroxy fullerenes (PHF) for non-invasive imaging and destruction of solid tumors. Amit has a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from University of Florida, and an MBA (Fuqua Scholar) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Dinesh has brought several Class-II and Class-III medical devices to market. As VP-R&D at Eigen, Dinesh launched the first MRI/Ultrasound fusion guided biopsy system to enable integration of MRI in prostate cancer diagnostics which has since become a standard-of-care. He has overseen development and launch of products in cardiovascular, urology and vascular diagnostics and treatment domains, and advises a number of medical device startups. He completed his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Iowa with a focus on medical image registration, and MBA from Haas School of Business at UC, Berkeley.

Dr. Aleksandar Nacev is an engineering professional with deep expertise in magnetic systems engineering developing compact magnetic resonance systems. Prior to joining Promaxo, he was a Principal at Weinberg Medical Physics, a technology incubator.

After earning his doctoral degree from the Fishcell Department of Bioengineering at the University of Maryland College Park, Alek extended upon his research on magnetic drug targeting techniques to develop a novel method of precisely controlling and concentrating magnetic particles to a remote location. Alek also co-founded Iron Focus Medical, a medical device company developing a combination image guided therapy platform.

Srirama brings over two decades of experience (Fox Chase Cancer Center, Mayo Clinic, Phillips and Stryker) developing and executing clinical programs including novel MR imaging applications. Sri has rich experience in front-end R&D, strategic partnerships, cross functional team management, open innovations, algorithm development, health data governance and management. Sri holds a PhD in Physics from Michigan Technological University and MBA from Rutgers Business School.

Paul completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on image processing, and an MS in Electrical engineering from The University of Iowa, as well as a BSc in Computer Engineering from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.

A seasoned strategist, Matthew spearheaded the sustainable growth of a profitable global business from the ground up, driving the successful launch of the Hugo robot in Latin America. Michael proudly served in the US Air Force as a decorated combat aviator, where he achieved the rank of Captain. He is an expert in MR technology and has considerable experience in the design of radiofrequency pulses, image reconstructions, and hardware for very low to ultra-high field MRI scanners.

Dr. Kamal Patel joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) after serving as chief radiation oncology resident at Oregon Health & Science University hospitals in Portland. While there, he garnered the Rose Award for Excellence in Patient Care. At CTCA, Kamal serves as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology, meeting with many cancer patients for whom radiation therapy may be a treatment option.

He has given presentations and speeches to a wide variety of audiences, including the press (FOX News, at the NFL Chicago Bears Press Conference). He has become a fellow at Doximity, a position that he uses to influence his fellow physicians across the country.

Dr. Nejd Alsikafi is founder of the Chicago Center for Urologic Reconstruction and Trauma. He serves as Clinical Associate Professor at Loyola University Health System. In late 2006, he joined the practice of Urology Specialists of Lake County/UroPartners. He served as president and secretary of Trauma and Urologic Reconstruction Network of Surgeons (TURNS). Nejd was also elected to the Board of the Chicago Urologic Society.
Dr. Nejd Alsikafi is founder of the Chicago Center for Urologic Reconstruction and Trauma. In 2006, he was recruited to move his urologic trauma and reconstructive practice to the Loyola University Health System, where he currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor. In late 2006, Nejd joined the practice of Urology Specialists of Lake County/UroPartners, and in 2015, he moved his entire reconstruction practice to UroPartners. Nejd is board certified in adult and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urological Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and served as president and secretary of Trauma and Urologic Reconstruction Network of Surgeons (TURNS). Nejd is a 1997 graduate of the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Following medical school he was a resident in urology at the University of Chicago and completed his chief resident year in 2003. After graduating MBBS with honours from The Madras Medical College, Dr. Nathan completed his Masters in Surgery from Bangalore Medical College where he won The Association of Surgeons of India Gold Medal for securing the highest mark in the surgical exit exam. While working as an Assistant Surgeon in The Church of South India Hospital in Bangalore he was one among the first candidates to be selected by the Royal College of Surgeons of England to continue specialist training in the Overseas Training Scheme. After working in general surgery and obtaining FRCS in Yorkshire he chose to be a Urologist and obtained Diploma in Urology while working at Royal Free Hospital. He secured a Honorary Lecturer position at Guys Hospital to develop robotic techniques in urology. Along with Mr John Wickham and colleagues from The Imperial College he developed The Probot and carried out the first true robotic surgery in the world.
